WALK THE WALL 2013 – Organised by the International China Concern (ICC), WALK THE WALL is an annual 10 km walkathon, aiming to raise worldwide awareness to the problem of child abandonment in China.
Hundreds of children and young adults with disabilities are provided full time care with the help of the funds raised from this major event. The event is scheduled for August 31st at 2:00 pm. The walkathon starts and ends at John Laws Park, Goodwin Terrace, Burleigh Heads.
Spring Festival: Come Sunday 1st September and get to enjoy live music, delicious food, rock climbing, farmyard feeding, market stalls, a jumping castle and many more. This Spring Festival organised by the Currumbin Community Farm School is an ideal way to begin your month. The event is scheduled to take place at 1226 Currumbin Creek Rd from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Swell Sculpture Festival- Revive your aesthetic senses at the Swell Sculpture Festival, where you will get to enjoy a variety of 50 inspiring sculptures made by local, national and international artists.
Starting from the sculpture, curated twilight walks, night lighting, the Swell Smalls Gallery, and artist talks to master classes and workshops for kids, this event has it all. The festival will be held from 13 – 22 September at Pacific Parade, Currumbin.
